Saint Benedict figure

Benedict of Nursia is venerated as a saint in the Orthodox, Armenian and Catholic Churches. He is also considered a memorable witness of faith by the Evangelical and Anglican Church.
He is honored as the patron saint of school children and teachers, miners and speleologists, coppersmiths and the dying, and is invoked against fever, inflammation, kidney and gall stones, poisoning and magic. He is a trusted partner in the fight against all evil.
